Yesterday I left San Francisco, California and headed north. It was awesome as I finally started seeing the pine forests and snow capped peaks of the Cascades along with lower temperatures. I took some pictures, but my Nikon D70 stopped working right before entering Oregon. I shudder to think what it will cost to get it fixed.
Among the highlights of this leg; I stopped at a rest stop and found a half dozen teenagers milling around, some in sleeping bags on the concrete sidewalk. A couple were holding signs asking for gas money. Yup, I’m in the Pacific Northwest!
Tonight I spoke at the Portland Area .NET User Group on testing ASP.NET MVC applications with Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate to an audience of about 30 people. Great group, and I look forward to speaking there again sometime soon.
Tomorrow, yes tomorrow, is the final leg into the Seattle area and my End-of-the-Road Nerd Dinner.
